What this rebuild is built from, what was placeholder, and what is missing.

The company’s site is gone. obakiapp.com now resolves to a parking page; the landing page was captured by the Internet Archive on 18 August 2022, together with its images and stylesheet.

Everything about the product, the pricing of nothing and the contact route is quoted or condensed from that capture and from the company’s LinkedIn entry. No chef, investor or press item is invented.

Where it came from

  • Landing pageobakiapp.com/, captured 2022-08-18 — hero, about, app-download block, chef section, contact block and footer. Kept in _tools/archive/original-pages/.
  • StylesheetThe site ran the Klassy Cafe template (templatemo-klassy-cafe.css). Its palette supplied the coral #fd683e and charcoal #2a2a2a; the page loaded Poppins and Dancing Script from Google Fonts.
  • ImagesThe logo, favicon, three dining photographs and five app screens, all the company’s own files, recovered from the same capture. Originals in _tools/archive/site-images/.
  • Email addressesinfo@obakie.com, contactus@obakie.com and press@obakie.com, plus the phone number 080-090-0990, all from the site footer.
  • SocialFacebook (Obakithailand), Instagram (obakiasia), LinkedIn (obaki) and X/Twitter (OfficialObaki), as linked from the site.
  • LinkedInThe Obaki entry supplied the identity: a peer-to-peer chef app, Los Angeles (355 S Grand Ave, 90071), and the app’s description.

What is missing, and what was placeholder

  • Every page except the landing page. The site linked to /about_us, /partners, /become_chef, /career, /contact_us, /news, /press, /investors and /privacy_policy; none was archived. This rebuild folds their subjects into the pages it does have and links no dead routes.
  • The chef cards were template demo text. The captured page carried a repeated placeholder entry (“Randy Walker”, pastry chef, three times) left over from the template. It is not reproduced as a real chef, and the section is built from the company’s chef-side copy instead.
  • The sign-up and app-link forms. They posted to the company’s server; the rebuild’s forms validate and then point at the published contact details.
  • Two background images (top-left-bg.jpg, reservation-bg.jpg) were captured as error pages, not images.
  • Store listings. No App Store or Google Play listing could be confirmed for the app, so no store badges are used as links.

The reel

The seven-second clip on the home page is not company footage. It is a crossfade through the company’s own three photographs, made for this rebuild, encoded at 1280×720 and shipped inside the folder so it plays offline.

Deviations, stated plainly

  • Five pages instead of one. The original was a single landing page; this separates the platform, the screens, the chef route and contact so each can be read on its own.
  • The markup is new. The original was a PHP page on a Bootstrap template with jQuery sliders; this is hand-written HTML, one stylesheet and one small script.
  • Copy is quoted or condensed. The about paragraphs and the contact line are the company’s own sentences.
  • Nothing is requested from another server on load — the fonts, images and clip are local.
